Thanks to all who showed up for my 'standing room only' valerian talk at the Montpelier Herb and Tea Festival last Saturday! I had great fun sharing about the history of the herb, how to grow and harvest it, and how to use it. There were so many familiar faces and also great questions to foster a truly interactive experience. Everyone who wanted one walked away with a free valerian plant (courtesy of my generous 'mother' valerian plant in my garden).

The Montpelier Herb and Tea fest is TOMORROW! With any luck the rain will hold off until later in the afternoon, so come on by for all the festivities!

I'm gearing up for my talk on growing, harvesting, preparing, and using valerian root for therapeutic purposes - 1:15 in the Lecture Tent.

This morning I went out in my garden and separated my generous valerian plantings and potted 18 of them to give away!
