On Capitol Hill, the AIUM participated in the Medical Technology Showcase, which gave Congressional staffers an opportunity to learn more about ultrasound and other forms of medical imaging. Kevin Haworth presented on behalf of the AIUM and taught attendees about the basics of ultrasound.

Today was a busy day on Capitol Hill advocating for increased NIH funding in FY2027, which can directly impact AIUM members.

AIUM President David C. Jones, MD and AIUM Board Member and Chair of the BS&I Community of Practice, Kevin Haworth, met with Congressional Offices from Ohio and Vermont to discuss the importance of funding medical research.
