When I arrived at Laureldale Nursing and Rehabilitation, I didn't think I would ever walk again. It was like starting all over again. The therapy team was great about teaching me everything I needed to be independent again. From feeding myself to walking back out the door several weeks later, I met a lot of really great people during my stay and I got some phone numbers and will keep in touch.

When your heart is in the right place, can there really be bad days? For us, our heart is in Laureldale! Being snowed in with our residents created a rare opportunity for memories, teamwork, and fun.

Our Activity Director, Heath and his family ushered in a musical spirit with youthful energy.

We are very grateful to have Heath part of our Laureldale family and we are delighted for him to share his family with us! They brought warm smiles and tiny fingers to hold ours❤️

Happy to share the latest patient testimonial received from Laureldale Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation:

My goals were all met and I feel good about going home. All the staff were great, but I formed a special relationship with Amy from therapy. I even went to activities and played Bingo. That is not a normal for me, but I won! Not leaving until I Cash in for my prize! Feels good to be going home as I really miss my family, and I would recommend Laureldale to friends and family.

Overall, the staff are all well mannered and never made me feel like I was a burden. They are kind and patient! I do have two favorite nurse aides: Sara and Linda! They work so well together and always make me laugh. The therapy team has been great in helping me reach my goals. I feel much stronger and confident in what I need to do to stay safe. We'd like to introduce our first Resident Spotlight of the Month for 2026: Delores Welter.

Dolores has resided at Laureldale for 6 years and has become a consistent presence at group activities and is known for bringing her positive energy to each one. Some of her favorite activities at Laureldale include when Branches of Dance came to perform, the Health Drink Challenge, and person-centered Jeopardy! She enjoys tailgating with her nursing team on Sundays for football games and never gets tired of winning at Bingo :)

"What gets me through the hard days are prayer and talking with friends" she says. Dolores' best memory of being at Laureldale is going to activities this past year and socializing with others. Her goal for 2026 is to attend group outings off campus and being at morning activities more frequently.

We truly appreciate the heart that Dolores blesses our community with and it is a privilege to have her represent Laureldale for the month of January. Congratulations!

Happy to share the latest patient testimonial received from Laureldale Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation:

I have spent almost two years at the Laureldale Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility due to inability to return to my home. With the help of the therapy team, I regained my strength and will continue to exercise every day as they have taught me and be as independent as I can be. I have made many friends at the facility and will keep in contact with them. I would recommend this facility to others! We have a winner! It was a heated race to achieve this victory, but the residents have spoken and our 3rd Floor staff came away with 1st place! The hard work, the time, and the creativity were on full display. It was a special strategy to have the residents help put it together. What a great way to capture the spirit of our employees.

Thank you to all who participated in our staff decoration contest! There is joy and Christmas cheer that is clearly expressed in these efforts.
