Our PC capstone OT student, Anna, continued her lesson on "Appropriate Communication and Socialization" with a fun and interactive follow-up session. During the lesson, individuals practiced real-life scenarios and explored different ways to communicate, including nonverbal cues and written communication.

Anna even brought out hula-hoops to help demonstrate appropriate personal space when talking with others. The hoops gave everyone a great visual of their “personal bubble,” making it easier to understand respectful spacing during conversations.

It was a creative and engaging way to build important communication and social skills.

Pathwise had an incredible day celebrating Advocacy Day! Our individuals had the opportunity to listen to inspiring speakers, participate in the advocacy march, explore vendor tables, and tour the South Carolina State House. They even had the chance to meet with state representatives, Doug Gilliam, Luke Rankin, and Mark N. Willis, and Lieutenant Governor, Pamela Evette to learn more about how advocacy makes a difference.

After a successful and exciting day at the Capitol, everyone enjoyed celebrating together with a great meal at Lizard’s Thicket!
