❤️🎉Nursing Home Week Recap:
Last week, we celebrated Nursing Home Week. This is a week dedicated to celebrating our entire care center and showering our staff with appreciation for all they do. We are blessed with loving, compassionate staff. We are so grateful for our team, our residents, and this community of Laurens that our facility calls home. Happy Nursing Home Week, and thank you to everyone who made it an extra special one!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mom’s out there!

We celebrated Mother’s Day with a come-and-go celebration on Friday, May 8th with family and friends. We suprised our residents who are mamas with a “make your own bouquet” flower market. Check out those beautiful bouquets they created! On the menu were cream puffs, fresh fruit salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, and sparkly blue punch.

Thanks moms, for all you do. We love celebrating YOU!

Thank you to the Laurens Iowa Chamber and Community Boosters and our friends Pastor Ben and Misty from the Body of Christ Church for giving us the opportunity to stuff Easter eggs for our Laurens Easter Egg Hunt. We worked so quickly stuffing eggs that we had time to play the card game Uno together. We love bringing joy to our community!

Thank you to Pastor Rita for co-leading our Good Friday service with Pastor Kristen, our Senior Services Coordinator. We used the same worship service script as the script that was being used for the community’s ecumenical Good Friday service that evening.

Our Easter party was combined with our monthly resident council meeting and involved lemon meringue pie, coconut cream pie, ice cream, pretty Easter decor, and a whole lot of great conversation.
