At Scottish Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, preparation and teamwork are an important part of keeping our community safe. Recently, our staff participated in an annual emergency preparedness training led by ProActive Response Group.

Team members learned practical skills such as applying direct pressure, using tourniquets, and understanding how to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations. The session included hands-on demonstrations and opportunities for staff from different departments to practice together and strengthen their readiness.

While we hope these skills are never needed, continuing education like this helps ensure our team is prepared and confident in protecting the residents, patients, families, and coworkers who make up our Scottish Pines community.

Thank you to ProActive Response Group for providing this valuable training!

Resident safety remains our top priority at Scottish Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center! Each year, our transportation staff participate in annual van training to ensure they are fully prepared to safely transport our residents to and from their appointments.

Today, this training included proper inspection procedures and hands-on instruction in secure wheelchair strap-down techniques. We are grateful for our dedicated team who help ensure our residents travel safely each day! 🚐 🛞🚍

This evening our second shift nursing staff hosted a wonderful evening of music, food, and fun for our residents. Staff provided snacks while one of our talented residents led the room at the piano, with others singing along. The room was filled with residents enjoying the music and fellowship together.

A heartfelt thank you to these amazing Scottish Pines team members who took the time to organize such a special evening for our residents. Moments like these truly make our facility feel like home. 🎶💙🎹

Better Late Than Never! ❄️👏

At Scottish Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, we believe great work deserves to be celebrated—no matter when we get the chance to share it! Please join us in recognizing our February Employee of the Month, Tim McIntyre.

During the winter weather storms in January, Tim demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication, and teamwork. He went above and beyond by helping pick up staff members and ensuring they arrived safely to work, even with difficult road conditions. Tim also worked both weekends during the storms to make sure our residents continued to receive the care they deserve.

Tim has been a dedicated member of the Scottish Pines family for over 30 years, making him one of our longest-standing employees. His commitment to our residents and his fellow team members truly reflects the heart of our mission.

We are incredibly grateful for Tim’s servant leadership and unwavering dedication to our community. 💙

Please join us in congratulating Tim and thanking him for all he does for Scottish Pines and the residents we serve! 🎉👏
