NextStep Summit 2025 🩵🤍

What an incredible few days at the NextStep Summit! 💥 We had the absolute honor of learning from Dr. Susan J. Harkema, a true leader in spinal cord injury research and recovery. She’s not only a professor and rehab research director at the University of Louisville, but also leads the NeuroRecovery Network through the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation 🙌

We brought together trainers from all over the country to learn, grow, and deepen our understanding of NRN concepts and standardized, evidence-based care.

This is how we move forward — together — to improve function, health, and quality of life for people living with paralysis.

The energy, collaboration, and commitment to change was next-level. We’re so proud to be part of this powerful movement. 💪🧠💙

Our staff go through rigorous training, & it always feels so good when they are ready to run a training independently! It gives the facility the opportunity to help more clients, and it feels pretty good for the training staff too!

✨ 2025 begins with incredible achievements! 🇺🇦

Ukrainian mountaineer Алевтина Ковальчук conquered the summit of Orisaba Peak, the tallest volcano in North America located in Mexico, and raised the flag of our NextStep Ukraine rehabilitation center!

This is a symbolic step that reminds: together we can overcome any peaks. Your support for our heroes rehabilitating severe injuries inspires new heights and victories.

Orisaba Peak is 5,636 meters high and is one of the most difficult peaks to climb. But Alevtina proved that the Ukrainian spirit is unbreakable and strong, even at such a height!

This year promises to be full of new achievements, victories and good deeds. Together, we continue to support our military on their journey to recovery, inspired by such examples of courage and determination.
