What a beautiful morning to come together as a team and support an important cause. 💚

Heartland and Panda Pediatrics had a great time participating in the Leading Causes of Life 5K on Saturday.

Can you spot any familiar Heartland or Panda faces in these photos?

☀️Walking together as a team (for a good cause) feels great! 🐼

Thank you to DCCCA for letting us join your race as a group this weekend.

ROARfest2026: Panda partied at Prairie Park this weekend!
We loved showing little ones how to brush their teeth and talking to parents about school-based dental care.

Thanks to Prairie Park PTA for putting on such a fun event for the community 🧡

We’re under a tornado watch this afternoon. Make sure you’re keeping an eye on the weather and know where you’d go if a warning is issued.

As of now, Panda Pediatrics will remain open as scheduled. If you have any questions about your appointment, please call us at (785) 842-4477.

🌱Where does your family go locally to experience nature? This is one of our favorites. The animals all have such personalities! There is so much to learn about and explore outside. We also love that it's free for all families.

If you have a great nature spot or Earth Day activity you'd recommend, share it in the comments!

This is a reminder that domestic violence can impact any family. And children often carry that weight the most, in ways that affect their health, development, and sense of safety.

If things feel unsafe at home, a Community Health Worker can be a trusted, discreet first step. If you’re at Panda, ask your care team to connect you with a CHW. They can help link you to local support and resources for your family.

🚨 If you need help now: Call 1-800-799-7233 or text START to 88788 to reach the National Domestic Violence Hotline. In an emergency, call 9-1-1. The Willow Domestic Violence Center has advocates available 24/7. You can contact their hotline at 785-843-3333.

Join us for Discovery Day! It’s this Tuesday, April 21, 5 p.m.-7 p.m., in the Open Pavilion at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. 🎉

There will be lots of touch-a-truck activities, interactive games with prizes and information about our services and community resources. Games will include Administration’s cake walk, Youth Service’s Plinko board, Emergency Management's Wheel of Misfortune, and District Court’s selfie station.

Local food trucks – Barbwire Barbecue, JB’s Tacos and The Pretzelly Truck – will be on-site offering food for purchase.

Please share with your friends, neighbors and colleagues, and we hope to see you there!

In Kansas, around 77% of pregnancy-related deaths are considered preventable. So why are they still happening?

• Rising chronic conditions (high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease)
• Behavioral health and substance use disorders
• Barriers such as lack of insurance, transportation, housing, food, and childcare
• Limited access to consistent primary and prenatal care

🍼If you’re pregnant, postpartum, or just someone in need of support, you can contact the Community Health Worker team at Heartland or Panda Pediatrics. They can help connect you to resources and assist with scheduling primary care and other services.
