Massachusetts MENTOR-Lawrence Children's Program

Founded in 1980, Massachusetts MENTOR provides community-based services to children at risk of abuse and neglect and people with developmental disabilities through a network of local families or individuals, called Mentors. Our Mentor families are strongly supported by eight program offices throughout Massachusetts. Massachusetts MENTOR is a trusted partner of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families and the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services, as well as several state agencies throughout Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Together, the children and adults we serve, their families, their Mentors, our program staff, and our public partners form a community of caring that renews hope, strengthens the spirit and enables positive life choices. Massachusetts MENTOR's Lawrence Children's Program provides foster care placements for children age birth to twenty-two, who are in the custody of the Department of Children and Families. We specialize in providing therapeutic foster care, family preservation and reunification, wraparound service and other community-based programs designed to meet each child’s unique needs. The Lawrence office is home to several staff in a variety of positions including clinical coordinators, in-take specialists and Mentor support workers. In addition, the Lawrence office has several bi-lingual staff members, who speak both English and Spanish, and specialize in working with the Latino community in Lawrence and the surrounding areas.
