Look at those roots❤️

This is a Great Bear of the Starry Heavens painting, which I painted the last 24 hours over the Winter Solstice. I’ve just been so inspired by the night scenes and the dark of this time of year. This features many symbols sacred to druids: sacred spirals, the full moon, the black bear, Ursa Major, evergreens, and deep roots that are not damaged by the frost.

This is 11x14” in watercolor. I’m not sure if this piece is completely done...I’m going to set it aside for a little while and look at it more in a week or so. That’s often how I work on larger pieces :).
