Reminder: June 22nd IWC is hosting an event for young ladies ages 11-14. IWC staff and staff from The Stop Trafficking Project will be talking to them about healthy relationships and safe practices when online. The BeAlert® presentation is an age-appropriate message for students that focuses on the role of their life online. We provide insight into the role of technology in exploiting vulnerabilities—loneliness, isolation, depression, su***de ideation, cyberbullying, s*xting, s*xtortion, po*******hy, s*xual exploitation, and domestic minor s*x trafficking (DMST). We educate students to become aware of and understand the problem; we empower students to gain confidence and have the insight to succeed. This is a message of hope! We reflect on the truth of one’s value as a person to help them END it BEFORE it STARTS™.
