It’s with bittersweet feelings we are saying our final goodbyes to the old office, with all the memories we’ve made in it that will continue to be cherished. We’ve established years of care and relationships within these walls, but with change brings opportunities. Our new office will have five exam lanes and a procedure room, opposed to the previous two lanes, allowing for plenty of new ways we get to care for all of our patients!!

You may notice the empty space where some frame boards used to be. Fret not! FOUR of these boards will be getting a new life at the The Kansas City Free Eye Clinic!! We’d like to thank our clinical technician, Brooklyn, for creating a relationship with the wonderful people over there. We are thrilled these boards found their new home!!

We have everything moved and are ready for you all to see what we’ve been working on for the past several months!! We are THRILLED to open our NEW doors for you this Monday the 15th!!!!

We are SOOOOOO close to our first day open in our new space this coming Monday! We can’t wait to welcome you in!!

MONDAY (the 15th) NEXT WEEK…

We will be OPEN in our new office and officially moved out of the old one!! Thursday and Friday will be the last two days we are open at our old space this week!

Why did the optometrist cross the courtyard? To get to their new office! This week our hours will look a little funny as we allow our staff time to move all the glasses and our big equipment. We apologize for any inconvenience. But we are so excited to see you in our new space!

Rock chalk ♥️💙!! We LOVE the new limestone backsplash behind the front desk! Both Dr. Dobbins and Dr. Letourneau are proud KU grads, and this addition displays our office’s strong connection to the university and the city of Lawrence!!

The glasses lab is also coming together! We cut a lot of our lenses in house and this space is a huge improvement from our old lab. There is more room for storage and it has an effective ventilation hood. Plus, the design looks quite fresh 😉

Pssst!

We are looking at a move in date of September 15, which is Monday next week!! The finishing touching are all being added this week and there are so many new things we can't wait to share! We will be officially moved over by then and will no longer occupy our old office. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions!

Huge update! The flooring is in, with both hardwood and carpets bringing much more life to the office. The new glasses shelves look much different than our old backlit pegboard and we're excited with the displays we will be able to create on them.

The hallway light fixtures are directly inspired by the building's history as a Skelly Gas Station. We want to incorporate some of its character into the next chapter of this building's life, and what better way to do that than with light!
