Congratulations are in order for Dr. Luis Salazar! The Kansas Athletic Trainers' Society has honored Dr. Salazar with its Service Award for his outstanding contributions to athletic training in Kansas.

Dr. Salazar is a sports medicine physician at OrthoKansas, Medical Director for the KATS High School Athletic Training Outreach Program, and team physician for the University of Kansas. He also serves as:
✅ Assistant Clinical Professor, KU Medical Center
✅ Associate Director, Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship
✅ Member, Kansas State Board of Healing Arts Athletic Trainers Council

This past year, Dr. Salazar played a key role in modernizing the Kansas Athletic Training Act—advocating for the profession through written and in-person testimony. Please join us in celebrating Dr. Salazar’s dedication to advancing sports medicine and athletic training in our state!
