At least six people died Saturday after tornadoes tore through parts of Tennessee, local officials said. Such strong storms could over time be reduced using the novel new alternative energy technology my firm is promoting. For more on that see www.aaecorp.com.

As the sun rose across the state early Sunday morning, residents - and crews who spent a tough night digging through wreckage in search of survivors - were getting their first look at the destruction in daylight. Homes were destroyed, vehicles tossed and trees and power lines were strewn across roads.

Nearly 50,000 people in Tennessee were left without power as of Sunday morning, according to outage tracking website, poweroutage.us.

The city of Clarksville, located in Montgomery County, where three of the fatalities were reported, underwent a “search and rescue phase” Saturday evening after nearly two dozen people were treated for injuries at a hospital, officials reported.

“This is a sad day for our community," Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden said in a statement. “We are praying for those who are injured, lost loved ones, and lost their homes."

“This is devastating news and our hearts are broken for the families of those who lost loved ones,” Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts added. “The city stands ready to help them in their time of grief.”

As search and rescue crews in Clarksville looked for survivors and possibly additional victims, the mayor declared a state of emergency Saturday night and enacted a 9 p.m. curfew.

'Whole houses that are just "gone' Clarksville resident Rex Stockton told local news affiliate WSMV that the roof of his home was blown off in the storm. After the storm passed, he went outside to inspect the damage and saw his neighborhood had been devastated.

Stockton and his wife, a local nurse, began helping their neighbors alongside other Good Samaritans. They could hear cries for help in the debris, he told WSMV, and managed to help some people.

“She was able to do some CPR, but she was not alone,” Stockton said, calling the experience “traumatic” but noting he and his wife were “fortunate.”

“There were medics. People were just coming from everywhere to help and they were able to do what they could,” he added.

Nearly 50 miles away, another three people were confirmed dead in Madison, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville, emergency management officials said Saturday night.

“Today a storm turned the world upside down for many in our community,” said Freddie O’Connell, mayor of Nashville and Davidson County. O'Connell declared a state of emergency, allowing Metro Nashville Davidson County to obtain state and federal resources.

In a statement posted to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, the Nashville Office of Emergency Management said that the city of Madison appears to be the hardest hit. A church building with occupants reportedly collapsed and thirteen people were taken to nearby hospitals. The Nashville Fire Department continues to search structures looking for survivors who may be trapped in damaged buildings.

“Significant damage” from a tornado was also reported in the Tennessee cities of Gallatin and Hendersonville, northeast of Nashville, according to a joint statement from the communities’ mayors.

Images of damage in Hendersonville, Tennessee, about an hour southwest of Clarksville, shot by storm tracker, Brett Adair, showed shredded buildings, tossed cars and downed trees and debris littering roads.

Since the beginning of the year, a series of atmospheric river events is estimated to have caused more than $30 BILLION in damages in California. Twenty years ago, I proposed to the California CEC that by working together we could stop the effects of climate change, but they ignored my offer, and the rest is history. It’s clear: we must team up to combat rising global temperatures and to address the climate crisis while we still can. I'm still waiting California. My offer still stands. Let's go. See

2022 was the deadliest and costliest year for extreme weather and climate disasters in the United States. At this critical moment, we need to keep nature and science at the center of decision-making. My company AAEC has developed a novel new technology that is positioned with both nature and science at it's core. See this novel innovation at aaecorp.com.

Donald Trump renewed his attacks on the U.S. women’s soccer team as the team won a bronze medal in Tokyo on Thursday. But it’s not just Trump. Republicans more generally are bringing their culture war to the Olympics.
Trump says; “If our soccer team, headed by a radical group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold Medal instead of the Bronze. Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has,” said Trump, who lost again in 2020 after losing the popular vote in 2016, in a statement.
The most outspokenly political player on the U.S. team is Megan Rapinoe, who was no less political in 2019 when the U.S. women won the World Cup, with Rapinoe becoming the oldest woman to score a goal in a World Cup match and winning awards as the tournament’s top scorer and best player. So Megan is the real winner and Trump is the real looser.

Climate change and clean energy issues were discussed during Tuesday evening's tumultuous presidential debate, but it is not clear that voters learned anything new from the 10-minute exchange.
President Trump believes humans are impacting the climate "to an extent," but called the Paris climate accord a "disaster" for the United States economy and said he rolled back the Clean Power Plan's carbon emission limits "because it was driving energy prices through the sky."
Former Vice President Joe Biden vowed there will be no more coal or oil-fired power plants built, called for the weatherization of 4 million buildings, and said his climate plan will lead to thousands of clean energy jobs. His energy platform calls for the U.S. to reach a 100% clean energy economy and net-zero emissions "no later than 2050."

Energy issues and climate change were not on the original list of topics issued by the Commission on Presidential Debates, but made a surprise appearance about 50 minutes into a rancorous event marked by crosstalk and frequent interruptions by the candidates.
Moderator Chris Wallace, a FOX News journalist, asked Trump, "What do you believe about the science of climate change and what will you do in the next four years to confront it?"
Trump responded that he wants "crystal clean water and air" and said the country has done "phenomenally" when it comes to reducing carbon emissions.
"But I haven't destroyed our businesses. Our businesses aren't put out of commission," Trump said. "If you look at the Paris accord, it was a disaster from our standpoint. And people are actually very happy about what's going on because our businesses are doing well."
Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris climate accord in 2017. The pact aimed to limit global warming to 2°C this century, translating into an 80% economy-wide decarbonization for the U.S. by 2050.
Trump placed blame for West Coast wildfires on the need for "forest management" but also said he believes humans are responsible for climate change "to an extent." And he said he rolled back the Obama-era Clean Power Plan effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions "because it was driving energy prices through the sky."
Trump also said he has "given big incentives for electric cars," but called California's approach to fuel economy "just crazy."
The White House in March finalized a rule that weakened Obama-era fuel efficiency guidelines, requiring corporate average fuel economy and carbon emissions standards to increase 1.5% from 2021 to 2026, rather than 5% annually.
The Trump administration has also taken steps to revokes states' authority to issue their own fuel standards, specifically targeting California rules to encourage higher fuel efficiency and the deployment of emissions-free vehicles.
By contrast, Biden embraced a clean energy future as a way to create new jobs and said he would rejoin the Paris climate accord in one of his first energy actions as president.
"Nobody's going to build another coal-fired plant in America. No one's going to build another oil-fired plant in America," said Biden. "They're going to move to renewable energy."
