In addition to free backpacks and school supplies (while supplies last), the event will feature local resource vendors, a lively community kickball game, and a Back-to-School Fashion Show showcasing the latest trends for students of all ages.

The sensory friendly hunt is designed for individuals with disabilities and sensory needs, providing a low stress environment for egg hunting. This is designed for individuals of all ages. Hosted by the City of Lawrence, in partnership with Benjamin Harrison YMCA, this free community event features:

The Lawrence Advisory Council on Disabilities had blast in the month of March celebrating Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!

A Resolution of the Common Council of the City of Lawrence, Indiana - Government was presented at the Common Council Meeting to recognize March as Developmental Disabilites Awareness Month!

LACD shared our strategic plan and vision with the Common Council, and we are excited to continue working hard to fulfill our mission!
