In 2007, I finished Massage School and began doing massage professionally, as well as experimenting with the amazing healing powers of essential oils. I started mixing my own scented oils and sprays for use with clients and the response was wonderful. ************ One magical spring evening, many years ago, I stared at the moon while inhaling the intoxicating fragrance of freshly bloomed lilac...one of our favorites here in the midwest. It’s the signal that winter is finally over. A time of rebirth, renewal, and sunlight on our skin. It’s the most magical time of year here in Lawrence, Kansas, and after letting my senses become overwhelmed with the entire scene, I quickly ran into the house and jotted down, “Lilac Moon” and a little flower design with a crescent moon on each side. I didn’t know what it was going to be, but eventually, the purpose was united with the inspiration. Lilac Moon Apothecary now includes Massage & Cupping Services, as well as an entire line of essential fragrances inspired by Chromotherapy & Chakra Healing. Along with the Aura Collection, I create fragranced massage oils, facial care products, custom aromatherapy (and seasonal items from both my yard and other natural sources.) This is just the tiny sprout of a big dream that I hope I can continue to build upon as time passes and life opens itself up to new offerings. Thanks for joining me on this sacred journey. XOXO jess
