We had a very special guest come visit the Windsor. Enhabit Home Health and Hospice very kindly brought a horse, named Drifter, to visit residents.

He made it to the courtyard for everyone to get to spend time with him. We were able to feed him many treats and Enhabit provided treats for the residents as well. We are very appreciative of their time and willingness to bring Drifter to visit us!

Meet Ann, the Resident Spotlight this week!

Ann grew up in a small town in the heart of Kansas, became a talented artist, and even taught at a university. Her creativity continues to shine here at the Windsor!

When asked what she enjoys most about life here, Ann shared:
"The food is good, the staff are great, and I appreciate the routine. There are entertaining things to do, and the rooms are quiet when you need to rest."

Her life lesson?
"It’s very important to keep your creativity alive. Keep your mind open to alternate options and different things in life."

And her hope for the future:
"Good health, of course! And to continue with my creativity and my wonderful friends—those are what make me happy."

This is Jamie, our Memory Care Coordinator. She is a rock star and helps make our Memory Care the place it is!

1. How long have you been with The Windsor of Lawrence? I have been at the Windsor for 6 months now.
2. What is your favorite part about working with the residents? My favorite part of working with residents are their personalities. To see them smile, talk, and laugh makes my day.
3. What made you want to go into healthcare? I love taking care of people. Healthcare allows me the opportunity. I just wish I had started sooner!

Yesterday our friend Handpan Dan (Daniel Baird) helped the residents spend time celebrating all of July! We sang many Independence Day inspired songs and then moved to include Christmas in July. It was a fun time and we all joined in singing. 🤩
