🌟 Why Interim Wednesday 🌟

Our Why Interim Wednesday highlight today is one of our Care Coordinators, Rachel Moeller. Rachel oversees our patients in the Lawrence territory.

Rachel’s passion for caring for others started early. Growing up, she spent many afternoons walking over to visit her great-grandma in assisted living after school. The two spent time sharing ice cream, listening to stories, and participating in other fun events at the assisted living, like Halloween trick-or-treating with residents.🍦🎃

As a social worker “by trait & by heart,” Rachel has always been dedicated to helping others. “Knowing that each of our service lines leads with their hearts in taking care of people, it’s a no-brainer to work for Interim,” she says. “And it starts from the top down. Jill has the most wonderful, caring heart!”❤️

When she’s not caring for patients, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and extended family. You might find her walking her adorable puppy, Norm, tending to her garden, canning, or getting lost in a good book.🪴🐾

📚 Back to School … at 64! 🎓

As kids head back to classrooms this fall, our Owner & CEO is doing the same! Jill is proving you’re never too old to learn. This season, she’s hitting the books at Kansas State University in pursuit of a Master’s in Gerontology, which she’ll complete in May 2026.

Why? Because education is for staying curious, relevant, and engaged no matter what age you are. It’s for those who want to dig deeper, ask better questions, and make a lasting impact.

After decades of seeing both the joys and challenges of aging, professionally and personally, she’s taking her passion for older adults to the next level. Her journey is a reminder that it’s never too late to chase a dream, learn something new, or make a difference.

So here’s to lifelong learning and fresh beginnings, no matter your age. 🍎✏️

At Interim HealthCare, our patients quickly become part of the family. We do everything we can to help make their everyday lives feel as normal and comfortable as possible. Our hospice aide, Jenna, showed this kind of care perfectly with Judy.

Judy is a proud grandma of 8 grandkids and 8 great-grandkids, with another on the way! Family means the world to her, and when she needed support, Interim stepped in just like family would.

Her granddaughter Kelsey said, “Interim always looks out for Grandma’s needs like I would, just like family.”

When Judy said going to Sunday church was really important to her, Jenna didn’t hesitate. Even on her day off, she helped Judy get ready, transported and went with her to church, and then took her out for lunch date at Johnny’s after.

Both Judy’s family, her church community, and Judy were touched by this special kindness that Jenna showed and offered. It’s proof that at Interim, we truly care about what matters most to our patients, just like family. ❤️🩺
