Our Story

Hi! My name is Jennifer Smith DO. I am an osteopathic family physician. I worked for 2 large institutions in the past before deciding to open up my own clinic. I chose not to take insurance because I feel that insurance dictates too much of the care that is provided. Because of the low reimbursement and high overhead, it also causes visit times to decrease to what is not pretty standard at 7 minutes per patient visit. I don’t feel that is good care. I like the membership model because it allows me the flexibility to be able to see my patients at 30 and 60 minute increments. I also can provide virtual care for them because I am not incentivised to see them in the clinic in order to get paid. This is handy for simple things that we can discuss over the phone or computer. The membership model also allows me to be able to have a lower patient panel so my patients can get in to see me that same day or the next when needed.

Accomplished Health and Wellness is a direct primary care clinic owned and operated by me. This is a membership based primary care clinic that does not take insurance. The reason for this is that insurance has gotten in the way of patient care as previously stated. Direct primary care brings your primary care back to you. This allows for longer visits with me, shorter wait times, and same day or next day appointments, which is a benefit to everyone. You will also benefit from discounted, or should I say appropriately priced, labs and medications.
