Course Description:
Participants of this course will discuss the impact of death and grief
frontline workers (Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, EMTs, Behavioral
Health Staff, etc.) regularly face in their professional careers. We will
define frontline workers, discuss the often-overlooked support staff,
and review the goals and ethics surrounding educated professionals in
these fields. Additional work will be discussed regarding the long-term
mental health effects of frontline trauma response in effect health
disasters/endemics, natural disasters, threats to terrorism and community
violence. This course is designed for new and seasoned professionals in
private practice or conducting therapy on an outpatient basis
