The first thing we do when we see our pet suffer is visit the vet for a solution. If you know the story, skip the bullet points for the solution.
- A food recommendation is made because like human, ill health is largely caused by diet.
- Antibiotics, and topicals are prescribed for open sores.
- Steroid pills or shots are administered monthly during reoccurring visits to reduce symptoms.
- After returning 4 to 6 times for shots and food recommendations a $500 blood allergy test is recommended.
- Testing covers between 70 -150 mostly environmental immune allergies (think immediate severe reactions) only a small percentage of animals have.

Some things we can do to reduce risks in our pets:
• Intolerance test young and periodically to ensure no inflammation causing items are consumed daily.
• Avoid ultra processed kibble. Dogs and cats are carnivores and processed kibbles almost always contain high amounts of grains and seed oils to keep profit margins high. Say yes to proteins being the first ingredients.
• Avoid pet food with high sources of pesticides such as GMO seed oils of soy, canola, cottonseed, and any grains such as corn, soy, wheat. These are hidden culprits creating leaky gut, yeast overgrowth and food intolerance, aka non immune allergy symptoms.
• Avoid pesticides in your lawn, and be mindful of pesticides in favorite play spaces. Choose natural flea prevention if possible.
• Say yes to plenty of exercise, love, and natural sun light that supports immunity and overall wellbeing.
• Say yes to filtered water free of pharmaceuticals, heavy metals, chlorine, and many other unsuspecting toxic contaminants.
• Be mindful of toxicity in plastic toys while reducing other exposures by adopting non-toxic cleaning products, and avoiding synthetic fragrances in candles, air fresheners, and even scented trash bags.
