Today, we honor every kind of mother and every kind of love that comes with motherhood.
To those spending today with full tables, and to those feeling an empty chair especially deeply: you are seen.
To the mothers raising children, the grandmothers guiding generations, the stepmothers, adoptive mothers, foster mothers, and the women who love others as their own, we celebrate you and the care you give so freely.
We also hold space for those carrying grief today. For those missing their mothers, mourning children, navigating infertility, enduring the heartache of miscarriage, or quietly carrying the heartbreak of paths that looked different than hoped.
Mother’s Day can bring both joy and sorrow, sometimes at the same time.
