🗣️ Tip #5 for creating happy, healthy eaters: Talk about food—but skip the pressure.

Instead of “Just one bite,” try describing the food:

🥦 “This broccoli is green and bumpy!”
🍓 “These strawberries smell sweet and juicy.”

Encouraging curiosity builds trust and interest in new foods—without creating anxiety or power struggles. Remember, a positive environment is more important than a clean plate!

Struggling with pressure-free mealtimes? Let’s talk.

Is your child extra sensitive to sounds, textures, or movement? Or maybe they seek out constant jumping, spinning, or chewing?

🥄 Tip #4 for creating happy, healthy eaters:

Get messy!

Messy eaters are learning eaters. Let your child:

👉 Squish mashed potatoes
👉 Smell their food
👉 Play with sticky textures

When babies and toddlers touch, smell, and explore food, their brain gets used to how it looks and feels—making them more likely to try it.

Let them help cook, stir, wash veggies, or pour! Messy is meaningful.

🧩 Tip #2 & #3 for creating happy, healthy eaters:

Routines + Mealtime Structure

Kids thrive on consistency. Build a routine that makes mealtime predictable and peaceful:

✅ Wash hands
✅ Set the table
✅ Sit in a supportive seat
✅ 5–6 eating times per day (every 2.5–3 hours)

Avoid grazing or giving “backup snacks” if they don’t eat—this can prevent natural hunger cues from developing.

We're sharing our 5 proven strategies to create happy, healthy eaters!

✨ Tip #1: Make mealtime social ✨

Children learn by watching. Sitting down together for family-style meals—with no screens or toys—helps your child become more interested in food.

👀 Let them see you enjoying your meal. Smile, take a bite, and talk about the food. You don’t have to say “take a bite”—your modeling is powerful enough!
