NICU Giving Spotlight: A Story of Hope and Resilience 💙
Nearly 19 years ago, Scott Quesada surprised his family by arriving nine weeks early. Born on December 12 instead of Valentine’s Day, he weighed just 3 pounds, 14 ounces. His parents spent five weeks in Northside’s high-risk unit, holding onto hope and facing the unknown. It was a frightening time, but they knew they were surrounded by the right people in the right place.
Today, Scott is an 18-year-old college freshman, thriving and stronger than ever. His journey is a powerful testament to resilience, faith, and the extraordinary care provided by the NICU team who supported him every step of the way.
When the Pickleball for Preemies event came around, Scott and his family didn’t hesitate to give back. They traveled from Florida to show their gratitude and support the NICU that made such a lasting impact on their lives.
