Serendipity Yoga Om As 200hr E-RYT yoga instructors our main focus is working with students on the fundamentals of alignm Her teaching style is most influenced by Iyengar yoga.

Teresa is a 200hr E-RYT and taught at Ebb and Flow Yoga Studio for the past seven years and taught at the local YMCA for three years. She enjoys working with individuals beginning their yoga journey, those with physical limitations and chronic pain, and the senior population. She enjoys helping students learn how to use a variety of props to assist in correct alignment, thus, allowing the student to access a pose more easily and more safely. Teresa received additional training at Kripalu in Stockbridge, MA and the Asheville Yoga Center in NC. In her personal time she enjoys making Mala necklaces and bracelets as well as teaching jewelry classes. Mary Kay is a 200hr E-RYT with Yoga Alliance and taught at Ebb and Flow Yoga Studio for the past seven years and at the local YMCA for three years. Introduced to yoga in 2000, Mary Kay quickly realized that Yoga was exactly what her body and mind needed – developing strength, flexibility and balance in the body and calming the myriad fluctuations of the mind. Mary Kay grounds her teaching in breath and alignment and guides students to safely explore the asanas while encouraging a meditative, spiritual practice. After enjoying a slow mindful Hatha practice for many years, she added a love of Yin yoga in 2017, completing a Yin certification with Asheville Yoga Center and an online course with Bernie Clark. She also received certification in Senior Yoga from Asheville Yoga Center as well as attending several courses at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Mary Kay enjoys traveling, crocheting and playing bridge as well as spending time with her twin granddaughters.
