Eye Care On Gore has an opening for a full time position. The position is for front desk and pretesting patient's before the doctor sees them. We will train the perfect fit! Must be reliable, dependable, good with patients and able to get to work on time! Monday through Friday 9:00 to 5:30. If interested come in and fill out an application.

Are you noticing changes to your vision since looking at the eclipse???

We all know the eclipse was amazing, but looking at the sun, even for a second (without proper filters!), can be risky. ⚠️

An eye exam after the eclipse can catch any hidden damage from the sun's rays. Damage from the sun can take hours or even days to show.

Solar retinopathy (a fancy way of saying sun damage to your eyes) often has no pain, so an exam is key.

Play it safe, get your eyes checked after the eclipse!

Get Ready for the Eclipse! But Safety First! ️☀️
Are you excited for the upcoming eclipse? It's going to be amazing, but it's important to protect your eyes while viewing it. Here's the key: Never look directly at the sun, even during an eclipse.

Here's how to enjoy the eclipse safely:

Use special eclipse glasses! Look for glasses that meet the ISO 12312-2 international safety standard. Regular sunglasses, even very dark ones, and most welding masks, are not safe! ❌‍❌‍

Use caution when ordering eclipse glasses online from Amazon, Temu, or other non-verifiable 3rd party sellers as there is no way to validate the sellers are using glasses that are not counterfeit!❌
Inspect your eclipse glasses before use. Throw them away if they're scratched or damaged.

Put on these glasses BEFORE looking at the sun. Don't take them off while looking! Only approved eclipse glasses should only be used for direct solar observation.

Always supervise children using eclipse glasses. Make sure they understand the importance of eye safety. ‍‍‍
