🩺 Why Rural OK? Ashley’s passion for rural health is clear: she’s driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact where healthcare access is limited.

🌟 Favorite thing about AHEC Scholars? When asked about her favorite part of the program, Ashley highlighted the practical value: “The AHEC program has helped me learn and become confident in a lot of new skills, sometimes even before we actually cover it in class!”

Things like quality housing, transportation, and education play a HUGE role in your well-being. At SW-OK AHEC, we're focused on the why behind the illness, not just the symptoms. We train our future healthcare workforce—our AHEC Scholars—to understand and tackle these community-level issues.
