In 1972, after years of planning and deliberation, the Plains Area Mental Health Center proudly opened its doors one day a week and began serving the residents of Plymouth County. Over the years, the organization has grown and changed in response to community needs across the region. Today, Plains Area Mental Health Center has offices in many locations across Northwest Iowa. Our staff includes trained and experienced doctors, nurses, counselors, therapists and support staff.
