Plains Area Mental Health is a mental health care company based out of 180 10th St SE, Le Mars, IA 51031. In 1972, after years of planning and deliberation, the Plains Area Mental Health Center proudly opened its doors one day a week and began serving the residents of Plymouth County. Over the years, the organization has grown and changed in response to community needs across the region. Today, Plains Area Mental Health Center has offices in many locations across Northwest Iowa. Our staff includes trained and experienced doctors, nurses, counselors, therapists and support staff. We are proud of the many benefits and services we provide for people of all ages across the region. We have offices in Le Mars, Orange City, Cherokee, Ida Grove, Storm Lake, Carroll, Denison, Lake City, Sac City, Spirit Lake, Emmetsburg, and Rock Rapids. Become our next Community Services Worker today!

PAMHC is seeking a full-time Community Services Worker based in our Spirit Lake Location. Travel required. Position primarily involves performing the duties of a Community Support and HCBS Habilitation worker on an outpatient basis with adults with a serious and persistent mental illness. Position is 40 hours per week Monday through Friday with occasional evening work.

Position Summary:
Provide supportive services, skill building, behavioral intervention, and crisis planning services to adults with a serious mental illness while utilizing community support or habilitation services. Services are provided to individuals in their homes and community settings.

Salary Range: $22.29-$24.51

Join us at Cherokee County Su***de Prevention Coalition's upcoming Mental Health Resource Panel at the Marcus Community Center on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026.

The event will run from 6:30-8:00 pm, free daycare will be provided by MMCRU FFA (See QR code on the flyer to sign up), and snacks will be provided by Cherokee Regional Medical Center and 59 Grind.
