Happy Dental Hygienists Week! 🦷🪥

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible 7 hygienists who keep our patients healthy, comfortable, and smiling every day.

Dental hygienists do so much more than “scrape teeth”. They are the first line of defense in preventing gum disease and cavities through preventative product recommendations, cleanings, and collecting diagnostic tools like X-rays and gum measurements. Many of the pathogens found in the oral cavity are linked to health risks like heart attack and stroke. These ladies help get rid of those everyday. They are here for your whole body health, not just the mouth! ❤️

✨ Staff Spotlight ✨

Brooklyn Albers is an expanded functions dental assistant at our LeMars and Cherokee locations. She originally started in the nursing program at WITCC and soon realized that dentistry was her passion. She switched to the dental assisting program in 2023 and graduated in 2024. She started at Jeneary and Erdmann Integrative Dentistry after graduation! She is so thankful for the opportunity to serve patients and the amount of knowledge she has obtained since joining our team.

Her favorite color is pink and her favorite food is steak.

She is originally from Battle Creek, IA where she grew up on a farm. She has 3 siblings - Jaeden, McKenna, and Benton. She moved to Akron, IA in 2021 with her fiancé, Jacob. They have 2 dogs - Bear and Waylon. They got engaged December 2025 and plan to get married January 2027! 💍

Outside of work she likes to go boating, hiking, ride horses, spend time with Jacob doing chores, traveling, and snowmobiling.

Her favorite part about her job is building meaningful relationships with patients and helping them achieve their oral health goals.

Brooklyn is a hard working and dedicated part of our team. We appreciate all you do for our office and patients! ❤️

The best thing you can do for your child? An early visit to the dentist! 🦷

The American Dental Association recommends your child see the dentist 6 months after the first tooth erupts. Not only do these early visits help your child understand what happens at the dentist at an early age, it also helps YOU better understand how to care for your child’s oral health through education from the dental professionals!

Noah came in for his first visit last week. He had a blast letting his mom (Hailey, hygienist) polish his teeth with cookie dough toothpaste while watching Zootopia 2!

Dr. Jeneary did an exam - no cavities! 🥳 He also helped make a plan for Noah’s lip/tongue ties and his narrow arches. Early intervention is key!

✨ Staff Spotlight ✨

Kendra Klein is our lead dental assistant. She also helps in our orthodontics and administrative departments. She truly is our go to gal with any question we may have!

She graduated from Remsen St. Mary’s (Go Hawks!) and then proceeded to complete her dental assistant degree at WITCC in 2008. She has been with Jeneary and Erdmann Integrative Dentistry since May 2008.

Her favorite color is purple. Her favorite food is anything that she doesn’t have to cook. 😉

She has been married to her husband, Ben, for 15 years. They have 3 children - Lillian (13), Bennett (10), and Colton (7).

In her free time she likes to read, exercise, and cheer her kids on at their games! 📣🏃🏼‍♀️📚

Her favorite part about her job is that no two days are the same due to her knowing how to work in multiple departments!

As I said before, Kendra is our go to gal for any question or trouble shooting. She is an amazing asset to our team. We appreciate you Kendra!! 💜
