Job Title: Dental Assistant – Full-time

Location: General Dental Practice in LeMars and Cherokee, IA

We are a thriving general dental practice seeking an energetic and dedicated full-time Dental Assistant to join our team. If you are a QDA/CDA with expanded functions and ortho experience, we would love to have you on board! We take pride in providing quality dental care to a wonderful patient base, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for excellent patient service.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with chairside procedures, taking X-rays, and providing patient care.
Perform a variety of clinical and administrative tasks as assigned by the dentist.

Maintain sterilization of instruments and dental equipment.
Educate patients on oral care and post-treatment instructions.
Perform expanded functions as permitted, such as placing and removing dental restorations, impressions, and other duties as required.

Assist with orthodontic procedures as needed.
Ensure proper documentation of patient information and treatment plans.

Requirements:
Previous dental assisting experience required.
X-ray certification is required.
Expanded functions and ortho experience are a plus.
Strong work ethic and a great attitude.
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable.
Team player with excellent communication skills.

Schedule:
Full-time, Monday to Friday
8-hour shifts
Expected hours: 34 – 38 per week
Compensation:

Pay range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Quite an honor was bestowed on Dr. Greg Jeneary and the JD Airway-Ortho Team as they were featured on the COVER of JAOS Magazine! This is an educational magazine focused on orthodontics. He has worked incredibly hard, taking hundreds of continuing education hours to be surprised with this recognition. If you see him out and about, don't be afraid to ask for an autograph!

As we are rounding out our staff spotlights we have come to our last staff member and leader. A lot of you have seen Dr. Greg Jeneary grow up around the office as he started out visiting his dad, Dr. Tom Jeneary, at work. Dr Greg graduated from Le Mars Community and then further continued his education at Luther College for his undergraduate and then moved on to University of Iowa College of Dentistry. “Go HAWKS!” When asked about his career Dr. Greg says, “It’s hard to believe it has been 15 years, but as the saying goes, Time Flies!”

Dr. Greg has been blessed to call Le Mars home for the majority of his life. It would be a challenge to find a better community in which to live, raise a family and grow a business. Losing perspective in life is an easy thing to do so he tries to remind himself daily, some days are better than others, how lucky and blessed he is to have a great team, patients and community.

Dr. Greg enjoys fishing – fly fishing in particular, hunting, golfing, cars and gardening to name a few. He doesn’t spend nearly enough time doing any one of them, so that is a goal for the future. One thing that he has been able to do is travel more with his family. Many times, they tag along on continuing education trips. This has allowed them to see different parts of the country and enjoy many local cuisines. Those memories have been priceless.

It may be safe to say that dentistry is his favorite activity or better yet, learning more about dentistry. Over the last few years Orthodontics, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD/TMJ) and Oral Sleep Apnea (OSA) have become a passion for him. He has attended well over 10 times the required amount of continuing education needed every year. This has given him the opportunity to train and learn with some of the best clinicians in the world. Making those connections and offering unique services to patients has become a passion of his, and he is excited to continue doing that.
