Northwest Iowa Genealogical Society Please join us! We meet on the third Saturday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the Plymouth County Historical Museum in Le Mars, Iowa. Visitors are always welcome.

Membership dues are $15.00 for two people at the same address and $10 for individuals.

At our next meeting on February 21, respected member and longtime Le Mars resident JoAnn Schleis will give a compelling presentation on her recent sentimental journey to Italy’s Anzio. Her father, Richard N. Skinner, participated in the Allies forces 1944 landing there during World War II. He served as a medic with the U.S. Army “Thunderbird” 45th and the 157th Infantry. Her talk will include photos and riveting details of her dad’s letters to her mom then. The meeting will start at 1:30 PM.
