Meet Carla, our October Resident Spotlight! 🌟
Music and learning have been at the heart of Carla’s life, guiding her through countless adventures and experiences. Her curiosity and love for exploration have taken her around the world, with Europe and Israel holding a special place in her heart. Along the way, she’s cherished moments performing in the Westmar choir, collecting dolls, and indulging in her favorite hobby, cro-knitting. ✈🎤
Carla’s passion for education shaped a remarkable career, teaching band and vocal at Leigh, Nebraska, sharing music at Westfield, Iowa, and dedicating 21 years to Gehlen Catholic in Le Mars and nine years to Remsen Saint Mary’s. Even after retirement, her energy and dedication didn’t fade—she spent six joyful years as a clerk at Walmart, connecting with people in new ways. 🎺🥁
We are so grateful to have Carla’s bright spirit, kindness, and lifelong curiosity in our community. She truly makes every day here a little brighter! 😁👏
