Simonsen Chiropractic, PC I was born and raised in Cherokee, Iowa and it was here that I met my husband, Patrick, who is a veterinarian at Le Mars Veterinary Clinic.

orn she has been benefiting from chiropractic care and I am proud to say that she is a happy healthy little girl. From a young age I knew I wanted to help people better their health. However, I did not know which direction I wanted to take in order to provide health care to the community. I worked in a pharmacy while in college and after seeing person after person come in to get pills for this and that (and pills for the side effects of the pills they were taking!) I knew there had to be a different way to help people restore their health. Prior to that I worked in a chiropractic office and witnessed people getting better without the use of medicine or surgery. After those job experiences I had my answer. I graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Biology in the spring of 2009. Later that year I began my chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. I obtained my Doctor of Chiropractic in February 2013. As a student at Palmer I had the opportunity to help members of the Quad Cities and surrounding area. I was able to travel to Brazil for a clinic abroad program through Palmer College of Chiropractic. This gave me the opportunity to provide chiropractic care to those who would otherwise not have access to health care. While at Palmer I learned several techniques to better help people based on their area of complaint which include: Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson Drop, and Activator. I strive to help all persons of the community and find it important to provide chiropractic care to those of all ages.

Ten years ago, I walked into Dr. Zollman’s chiropractic office for the very first time to meet the doctor whose practice I would soon take over. Looking back now, I can clearly see God’s hand in every detail of that season of life.

After spending a few years practicing in Michigan, we had been hoping for the right opportunity to bring our family back home to Northwest Iowa. Through Dr. Zollman’s trust, mentorship, and the incredible patients he built relationships with over the years, that wish became reality.

What makes the story even more special is how perfectly everything fell into place on God’s timing. Not only did this opportunity open the door for me professionally, but my husband was also able to step into a position as a small animal veterinarian right here in town. What once felt uncertain became a beautiful reminder that God’s plans are always greater than our own.

I’m so grateful for Dr. Zollman, for the foundation he built, and for the community that welcomed our family with open arms a decade ago. Ten years later, my heart is still full. ❤️
