October 7th is National Taco Day! On this food holiday, we honor the endlessly versatile and delicious taco. From the crunch of a hard shell to the softness of a warm corn tortilla, the taco is a perfect food for any occasion, ready to be filled with an incredible variety of ingredients. Today the staff was able to enjoy Taco’s in the staff break room! Thank You to the Sunshine Committee and the LVG Dietary Department for making this happen today! 💚💛

National Healthcare Food Service Workers Week, which is celebrated annually during the first full week of October, with the dates for 2025 being October 5th–11th. This week honors the vital role of kitchen and dietary staff in providing nourishment, comfort, and care to patients and residents in healthcare settings. Today the LVG Sundhine Committee provided lunch for the dietary staff from Henry’s Deli. We appreciate the dietary department so much here at LVG. They always are going above and beyond to take care of our residents. Thank You Dietary Staff!
