We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Officer Karl Haugen. Officer Haugen faithfully served the City of Le Sueur and was a tremendous support to our nursing home over the years. He assisted us on many important regulatory calls, always ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.

Officer Haugen was not only an outstanding officer but also a compassionate and dedicated partner in protecting our community’s most vulnerable. His presence, professionalism, and kindness will be greatly missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the Le Sueur Police Department during this difficult time.

Carnival Day Fun at Cura of Le Sueur!

What an unforgettable day here at Cura of Le Sueur! Our community came together for an afternoon full of laughter, games, and joyful connections during our very own Cura Carnival — and it was a smashing success!

Our residents and staff joined in the fun with a fantastic lineup of classic carnival games, including the cake walk, ring toss, bucket throw, sucker pull, and even a thrilling round of axe throwing! There were smiles all around as residents tried their luck and staff cheered them on.

The highlight of the day? A grand raffle finale where everyone eagerly waited to see who would get the honor of throwing a pie in the faces of our amazing BOM (Business Office Manager) and DON (Director of Nursing) — and yes, they took it like champs, all in good fun!

Events like this remind us why we love what we do — bringing joy, community, and a little bit of silliness to brighten everyone’s day. Thank you to our dedicated team who made it happen and to our residents who bring the spirit and heart to everything we do.
