Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccine clinics are still available for anyone who is unvaccinated, unsure of their status, or simply wants peace of mind. The MMR vaccine is the best protection against measles, and it's free at Lake County Public Health.

Are you unsure of your measles immunity status? St. Vincent Health is offering measles titer testing in our parking lot for those who are interested. This service is self-pay only for a cost of $91 per test. Please call ahead at 719-486-0230.

**Titers are used to measure immunity to diseases like measles, mumps, rubella, or hepatitis by checking for specific antibodies in the blood. A titer cannot diagnose disease**

Chris, our Central Supply Clerk, was nominated by leadership with the following comments:

"Chris has done an excellent job in Central Supply. She has taken the bull by its horn. Since day one of her starting this new position, she has jumped in with both feet in learning and adapting. UPDATE: Additional Vaccine Clinic - Friday, April 24

Lake County Public Health will be holding an additional Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR) vaccine clinic this Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

While the post-exposure prevention window has closed for most individuals, this clinic is available for anyone who is unvaccinated, unsure of their status, or simply wants peace of mind.

Even if you have not been contacted directly by Lake County Public Health, you may still be concerned about your potential exposure. If you have any uncertainty about your vaccination status, we encourage you to come in.

Walk-ins allowed, but appointments are preferred and appreciated. Call to schedule: 719-486-2413. Public Health opens at 8am to start receiving phone calls.

The MMR vaccine remains the best protection against measles. One dose is 93% effective - there is no downside to getting vaccinated.
