We love and all of the wonderful things she does in the world!
“Megan Wagaman describes her yoga class as “Sweatpants Flow.” It’s a path to great sleep, a yin-leaning, chill practice on Thursday nights at 6:30 pm. Her style is based on her training in Prana Vinyasa, a form of yoga that’s based on the elements. Megan’s most recent class explored fire and she also brought in balancing poses for an air practice. She wants yoga to be accessible to everyone, she said: “It’s a way to tune into your body, which we all need. A lot of people think they can’t do yoga because their hips are too tight. The real reason to show up is for the meshing of body and mind, the calm it creates.” Megan works as the Sustainability Supervisor at Copper, part of the largest sustainability team that exists for a ski resort, helping people get outside and planting native seeds in the summer. In the fall, she’s headed to Penn State for a Master’s program in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management. She’s lived in Leadville for five years and calls it an “epicenter of grand beauty.” She loves snowboarding, cross country skiing, and
paddle boarding with her black lab, Pumpkin Bunny. Right now she’s knitting a yellow sweater. If she had to hold one yoga pose for the rest of her life, it would be half moon. It’s a strong pose,
yet playful- stacking the shoulders, opening the hips, reaching the fingers, full body engagement. It’s an example of how Megan dives into yoga heart-first, grounded and soaring.”
