ISBI Burn Center Assessment Program
The deadline for LMIC Burn Centers to apply to participate for 2026 assessments is November 1, 2025.

The ISBI is pleased to announce a new initiative called the ISBI Burn Center Assessment Program which we hope will improve burn care in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). This program will increase the engagement of the ISBI in these countries and is consistent with the ISBI’s mission.

The ISBI Burn Center Assessment Program is at San Vicente Foundation University Hospital in Medellin, Colombia working with the local burn center team. The 10 day experience that covered 4 burn centers in Costa Rica and Colombia has been a big success!

The IBSI Burn Center Assessment Program Team is currently at Hospital Simon Bolivar in Bogota Colombia working with the local Burn Center to advance Burn Care
