League Counseling and Ed Center New Chapter Counseling is a safe environment for those struggling with substance use, codependency, trauma, anxiety and depression .

This is a small private practice which helps individuals and families to reach a sense of contentment and peace in life. Sometimes life can become unmanageable and we feel like there is no way out of certain situations. My therapeutic focus is centered to every client's needs and personal situation. I like to focus on reframing thoughts and emotions and educating clients on resources that will mak

e their life more manageable and help each client reach a sense of contentment. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, teens and children. My educational and working background includes self-esteem, marital issues, trauma, depression, grief, loss, anxiety, family issues, substance abuse and addiction and prevention. I have an extensive knowledge base on criminal and family law. I have a Master's degree in Counselor Education and I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Life Coach. I am currently working towards my License in Professional Counseling. I look foward to working with you!!!

Our Story

Hi! My name is Katherine Portillo and I am the owner of New Chapter Counseling Services, PLLC. This is a private practice that prides itself on creating a safe environment for those that struggle with substance use issues, co-dependency issues, trauma, anxiety and depression.

My therapeutic focus is centered to every client's needs and personal situation. I like to focus on reframing thoughts and emotions and educating clients on resources that will make their life more manageable and help each client reach a sense of contentment and peace.

I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, teens and children. My educational and working background includes self-esteem, marital issues, trauma, depression, grief, loss, anxiety, family issues, substance abuse, addiction and prevention.

I am a EMDR Therapist which is a solution focused therapy that guides in reprocessing traumatic memories so they are no longer emotionally disturbing. I have a Master's degree in Counselor Education and I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Life Coach. I am currently working towards my License in Professional Counseling.
