We verified Kellogg's use of GMOs when we sent Froot Loops to a genetic testing lab. The corn in Froot Loops is 100% Roundup Ready, pesticide-producing GMO corn. Not only is it laced with carcinogenic Roundup, but the corn is registered with and regulated by the EPA because the corn itself is a pesticide. It produces Bt toxins from inside every cell of the plant and kills insects that bite into it. A 2018 Australian rat feeding study found that GMO Bt corn is implicated in causing "leaky stomach". Food that kills and pokes holes in the gut? If that corn were on the shelf at Home Depot, it would have a label on it with an EPA pesticide registration number, as do all of the other pesticides on the shelf. But because the EPA has no jurisdiction over food labeling, Kellogg's is feeding children Roundup-laced and insecticide-producing GMOs without their parents' knowledge or consent. Help us grow the boycott - don't forget Kellogg's-owned Kashi, Special K, MorningStar Farms, Gardenburger, Bear Naked, Pringles, and Cheez-Its. Tell Kellogg's why you're not buying it - they need to hear from you. Tell them to REMOVE GMOs, Roundup/glyphosate and all the other toxins from their products and brands, back it up with Non-GMO Project Verification, and shift to organic.

Carbadox is an antibiotic fed to more than half of the pigs raised in factory farm CAFOs in the U.S. It promotes growth and controls gut infections. But it poses significant safety risks to consumers, damaging genes and causing cancer, who unknowingly consume carbadox residues when eating pork. It can also harm farm workers who are exposed to the drug when mixing feed or working in buildings where carbadox is used. In 2016, when Robert Califf was first head of the FDA, the agency initiated steps to withdraw approval of carbadox. But vigorous pushback from industry and perpetual stalling by the agency have stagnated efforts to ban its use. The FDA knows that there is no safe level of residues of the drug and has also said that continued approval of carbadox would expose humans to “concentrations of residues of carcinogenic concern that are approximately 30 times higher” than what would be considered safe. Yet, there is still no ban.

The best way to avoid carbadox is to avoid conventionally produced pork. Buy only certified organic.

Buyer Beware: GMO fake ice cream is here. To be clear, these fake ice creams are NOT PLANT-BASED. They're SYNTHETIC. The fake ice creams are created in a lab using an unregulated, extreme form of genetic engineering called Synthetic Biology (also known as SynBio). And because all new methods of genetic engineering have been deregulated and the new sham GMO labeling law that went into effect this month exempts synbio, these fake ice creams will have no GMO labeling. Patented lab-created proteins that mimic cow's milk proteins are the basis for these products. There are no safety studies required, nothing at all to make sure they're actually safe with no short or long-term health risks. Without long term safety testing, there is no way to know the potential adverse impacts on health over time. There are already concerns about allergenicity.

We have to ask... why on earth would anyone want to eat something created in a laboratory with genetic engineering when there are already plenty of safe alternatives to cow's milk ice cream on the market. Choose coconut based, almond based other other dairy-free options rather than an unlabeled frankenfood that hasn't been safety tested. Common sense?

How do you identify this fake ice cream? Look for something on the label that says "Made with Perfect Day". It could be a logo, or just the words. The company Perfect Day created this stuff, and they're working with as many ice cream companies as they can find that are willing to partner with them. So we don't know where it will turn up next. So far, they disclose these 3 brands on the "Perfect Day" website.

Eat real food and avoid GMOs.

(NOTE: Industry is calling the genetic engineering technology "fermentation." The intent is to trick and mislead consumers into thinking it is the same process used to create sauerkraut. UNETHICAL at best.)

Good news in Italy: The Italian parliament has approved a new law creating an “Organic Made in Italy” label and national strategy to support organic production throughout the agricultural sector, including rewarding farmers for converting. The new law defines organic food production as an agricultural system that focuses on sustainability and restoring the natural environment while promoting human and animal wellbeing through food safety and ecosystem protection.

That is great news for Italy, as everyone benefits from organic agriculture. Too bad that our USDA doesn't do the same, instead subsidizing environment and health-destroying GMO/agrichemical farming.

The floodgates are wide open now and it will become increasingly more difficult to avoid GMOs created with risky CRISPR and gene-editing technology because the U.S. government has declined to regulate these abominations. There is no safety testing required and no GMO label. Yet many studies have documented that CRISPR (and other gene-editing technology) is neither precise nor safe... and comes with the same risks as transgenic and older GMO technologies. For-profit corporations such as Pairwise, the company that created GMO lettuce, are out to convince us that they can do a better job creating food than mother nature. Pairwise has partnered with Bayer-Monsanto on other projects which tells you where their allegiance lies. Aside from the fact that GMO lettuce is COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY, these Frankenfoods have the potential to irreparably damage the genetic integrity and safety of the food that nature has given us. A conscious, educated consumer is their worst enemy. Grow a little something if you can. Know your seed company. Know your farmer. Speak with your wallet. Avoid GMO Frankenfoods. Do your best. Court Tells Bayer-Monsanto To Take a Hike: California Supreme Court rejected Bayer's appeal of a lower court's decision handing Alva and Alberta Pilliod a victory in the Roundup-cancer lawsuit. Brent Wisner, a lawyer for the Pilliods, told the San Francisco Chronicle the verdict “was based on solid science and unanimous law” and the company should halt its “frivolous appeals.”
