Dream a Dream Therapeutic Horsemanship was proud to present at the Shine Academy Health Science Conference alongside our amazing partner, the University of Texas School of Nursing.

For those who may not know, Dream a Dream has partnered with the UT School of Nursing to provide senior pediatric nursing students with clinical learning experiences at our barn — experiences that meet nursing curriculum objectives while immersing students in the lived realities of individuals with disabilities.

Dr. Jennifer Flippo and Dr. Brenda had the privilege of presenting not only about this innovative learning partnership, but also about an upcoming research study that will examine the outcomes of this experience and contribute evidence-based research to the field. Our abstract was selected by the Shine Academy, and we truly could not have been more honored.

Let’s hear it for the horse-human connection. 🐴
Let’s hear it for experiential learning.
Let’s hear it for future nurses learning empathy, regulation, disability awareness, and whole-person care — not just from textbooks, but from riders, families, and horses.
This is where education meets compassion.
This is where science meets heart.

We believe the future of healthcare includes understanding sensory systems, co-regulation, trauma-informed care, and the power of connection. And we are so proud that Dream a Dream gets to be part of shaping that future.

The Vinew Shoppe is blessing Liberty Hill nonprofits with the opportunity to earn a $500 grant, and we are so honored to be part of this community initiative.

When you drop off items at The Vinew, just let them know you’d like your “points” to go to Dream a Dream Therapeutic Horsemanship. At the end of six months, the top two nonprofits receive $500 — and others are entered into a drawing for an additional grant.

Every single point helps. Every donation turns into hay in the barn, scholarships for riders, grooming supplies, adaptive equipment, and continued loving care for our incredible therapy horses.

It’s amazing how gently used items can become confidence, courage, literacy growth, healing, and joy for the children and families we serve. 🐴✨

On Monday, while students were out of school for Presidents Day, we were blessed to have the next generation of leaders show up in a big way. 🇺🇸🌾
As part of National FFA Week, students from the FFA program at Glen High School spent their morning serving at the barn — cleaning pens, grooming horses, helping with chores, and caring for our herd.
This is what youth in action looks like.
Hard work. Compassion. Responsibility. Service.
We are so grateful for these young men and women who chose to spend their morning giving back. The future of agriculture — and servant leadership — is bright.

We’re Hope, Deuce, and Minnie — small in size, but very big on love.
This Christmas, we’ve been busy doing what we do best:

So much gratitude tonight for Penny, Melissa, Gracie, Kim and all the incredible riders at Graymar for supporting Dream a Dream at today’s show. The generosity, encouragement, and heart behind this community truly mean the world to our program. To those who rode and even those who weren’t riding but still chose to give — thank you for believing in what we do.

A huge thank-you to my amazing scribes, Kate Mesches and Nancy Crutchfield-Jones — I could not ask for a better team at C. And what a joy it was to watch so many beautiful rides and so many riders beginning (or continuing) their dressage journey. There is something incredibly special about witnessing that spark take hold.

I always feel deeply honored to sit at C, and days like today remind me why I love this sport so much — the partnership, the horsemanship, and the powerful bond between horse and human. Proud to help ignite the passion and cheer on every step of the journey. 💕✨
