Teacher Spotlight: Yamanand
“Practice, and all is coming “ Sri K. Pattabhi Jois

Yamanand brings a deep presence to the studio, offering classes that allow students to acquire a deeper sense of the link between the breath and movement. We’re honored to have her be part of the Alpine community!

💛 Why I Teach
“Yoga is a powerful tool, weather you are looking for a more physical connection with your body, a more intimate connection with your breath, or on the endless journey of the Spiritual seeker pathway; without Knowing, Yoga throws all of that in the blender and provides every time a custom soulfilling, nurturing; both in and out experience. 💫

🌀 What Class Feels Like
“Each class is different, we focus on a particular Asana, while doing this; cueing and verbal/physical demonstration are always present, so by the end of the class the body-mind-breath link is set; and the Asana naturally and organically happens. An opportunity for Svadhyaya, self study, acknowledging yourself from the second you step on your mat to the last one!

✨ What Inspires My Teaching
“Selflessness and sharing, my lineage, my knowledge are not mine to keep, they are meant to be shared with others; planting a seed of curiosity towards self awareness, self study, self confidence and discipline; in other words; practicing the 8 limbs of Yoga; in & out of the mat.

🍃 Who Class Is Great For
“For all levels, I love being able to set a strong foundation physically , mentally and spiritually for both a beginner practitioner, but also, if you are a more experienced one I offer help to improve your practice. There’s a space for everyone."

🌿 Beyond the mat
I’m very proud to say I contribute to the care of the elderly community in this Town, as a caregiver I continue to practice Yoga out of my mat, with compassion and kindness as the end of life approaches. Or you’ll find me at our tiny home with my 3 beautiful cats and my husband; just doing life!

📍 Find Yamanand on the Schedule
“Currently I have one class a week, Monday 10am! And I’ll be more than delighted to see you there!

Is it spring… or are we getting one more round of winter? 🌦️❄️🌱
Truly unclear. We’re just going with layers and a sense of humor at this point.

Either way, we’re leaning into the seasonal shift whatever it decides to be.

Teacher Spotlight: Roselyn Robison

We’re so grateful to have Roselyn sharing her smart sequencing, functional strength, and meaningful stillness — leaving students feeling steady, spacious, and ready for life on and off the mat.

💛 Why I Teach
“My personal yoga practice has improved functional strength, supported injury prevention, and enhanced mental resilience — and I want everyone who walks into the studio to experience those same benefits. I’m especially inspired by helping students move safely and efficiently, honoring their bodies’ unique histories while cultivating longevity and vitality.”

🌊 What Class Feels Like
“In class, I emphasize functional movement, joint integrity, and thoughtful sequencing that extends beyond the mat. My approach blends Eastern mindfulness with Western sports-medicine principles to support recovery, prevent injury, and build sustainable strength.”

🌀 Who Class Is Great For
“My vinyasa class is especially great for students craving a practice that is both intelligent and sustainable — whether athletes seeking recovery and injury prevention, busy professionals needing nervous system support, or longtime yogis ready to deepen their awareness.

For students who thrive on structure and measurable progress, Hatha 26 provides an excellent foundation and balance to a vinyasa practice.”

🌿 Beyond the Mat
“What I love most about teaching here is building authentic community and supporting students in moving with more ease, alleviating pain, and gaining strength that carries into daily life.”

We might be a little late to this trend, but it was too cute to pass up.

Here’s a glimpse of some of the beautiful humans holding space for you — before the teaching, the studio, and this wonderful community.

Smaller humans, same big hearts.

We’re grateful every day for the people who make this space what it is. 💛

Teacher Spotlight: Kathryn Tucker
We’re grateful to have Kathryn bringing the depth of the Ashtanga tradition to the studio blending strong flowing movement, breath, and inward attention.

💛 Why I Teach
“I am passionate about the yoga tradition and the transformative impacts dedicated practice can have on a practitioner's physical, mental, emotional and psychospiritual wellbeing. Daily practice is fundamental to enabling me to manage myriad challenges in my professional life as an attorney/advocate and a human being experiencing losses common to incarnation. Connecting and sharing with students is a great joy.”

🌊 What Class Feels Like
“The Ashtanga (eight limb) tradition informs my offerings. This means that the asana practice is vinyasa flow style, with keen attention to the breath, which carries all movement. I weave in teaching about why practicing all 8 limbs elevates each independent limb and the synergy among the limbs elevates the entire practice. Students can expect a strong flowing physical posture practice with ample verbal cues, invitation to draw attention inward, settling the mind, so that the practice is a moving meditation.”

🌀 Who Class Is Great For
“Those interested in all 8 limbs of yoga, not just physical posture practice. Students curious about how asana practice is a springboard to deep meditative state and the psychospiritual evolution catalyzed in such state.”

🌿 Beyond the Mat
“I am influenced by my work as an attorney/advocate focused on protecting and expanding the rights of patients at end of life to bring awareness of mortality into my yoga teaching. This awareness can deepen our commitment to practice and to living each moment we are fortunate to have in gratitude and with reverence.”

📍 Find Kathryn on the Schedule
“I teach Saturday mornings at 10. The first 60 minutes is asana practice in the Ashtanga tradition; students are invited to stay an additional 15 minutes for pranayama (breath work) and guided meditation.”

Come explore the deeper layers of practice with Kathryn.

Local Biz Spotlight: Lupine Market and Café

Have you been to Lupine yet? This beautiful alpine café and market just opened in November, and it’s already become one of those places we love to just be.

Tucked up Icicle Road, Lupine is the kind of spot where you linger a little longer - great coffee, simple delicious food, shelves of beautiful handmade goods, and mountain views that remind you why we all live here. The folks behind Lupine are the same wonderful humans who brought Argonaut Coffee to town, and you can feel that same spirit here: thoughtful, welcoming, and built around genuine connection.

This is where we stop after a cross-country ski (when there’s snow), a hike up Icicle Ridge, or anytime we want to meet a friend, get a little work done, or simply enjoy a quiet moment with a warm cup of goodness.

You’ll find up Icicle Road near Sleeping Lady and the IRT.
