Driving from Manhattan to Leavenworth this morning I observed a pair of deer run across the divided highway (US 24) in front of a car maybe 100 meters ahead of me; the car slowed down enough to let the first deer get by but hit the second deer on its back half and sent it flying off the shoulder.

It reminded me of the second segment of the attached video, but there is still a clear difference between an actual impact and the close call!

Metaphor Monday:
For those who ask:
Is this a temporary fix? How long will this last? Can I treat in advance of an expected insulting event?

Direct treatment for neuromuscular based symptoms with dry needling compares to bankruptcy, without having several years of penalty. It resets the balance and clears the prior 'debt' that you could not address; however, how you 'conduct business' from that time on will determine how long you remain conflict free. If someone has good financial habits, then clearing the history of buying a house just before a market crash will make a long term difference. If someone spends a lot on credit monthly, then the effect is ridiculously short lived. Unfortunately, like bankruptcy there is no payment of debt that has not yet been drawn / accumulated.

Metaphor Monday: the involuntary tension observed with strained -> guarding muscles can be compared to the adjustment you make when walking on ice and anticipating a loss of control. You can still move but when you are done you feel like you did so much more due to the bracing and extra level of alertness.

'Thin as a horse's hair'. Thin enough to fit into a pediatric hypodermic needle. I have neither of these items, so I am sharing more familiar and available items for comparison.
