Dearest Community,
I figured it is time to introduce myself, the woman behind Healthy Hive!
My name is Jillian and I am 24 years old with three wonderfully chaotic boys! I am lucky to be a bonus parent to the sweetest 9yo ever, alongside birthing my chaotic and kind 2yo and my newest addition who is 2mo.
I have been a licensed massage therapist for almost four years now and absolutely love to work with children, pregnant people, and parents! Alongside massage therapy, I have also worked in geriatric care, specifically in memory care units. I am a Registered Behavioral Technician, working with children with autism in an ABA setting, and working as an assistant guide in a Montessori school. I also spend a good portion of my time leading classes at a play cafe and working some part time hours there as well.
Currently I am doing coursework to become a full spectrum doula and hoping to complete further courses to become a NICU doula. These are especially important to me as I have two preterm babies who spent some time in the NICU and I am a mother who struggled to find my village while navigating postpartum depression, anxiety, and even rage.
Outside of my family and work life, I thoroughly enjoy reading anything from fantasy to cookbooks and herbal remedies. I have two sweet pups who have stuck by my side for almost five years now and try to enjoy my time with them as much as possible. I love to thrift and bargain shop (as does anyone who is on a budget and loves high quality/well loved items). I aspire to be well versed in all “granny” hobbies and pride myself in my “crunchy-ish” lifestyle.
If you’ve read this far, thank you for taking the time to know me and I appreciate all of your support in my Jill-Of-All-Trades small business. I love to have you all as my village and to be yours in return. ♥️
Photos from the wonderful Thistlebee Imagery as always.
Also a huge shout out to Whole Parent Foundation who has been a huge support for me. Guidepost Montessori who has also been supportive and so educational as a parent. And of course, Rough & Bumble Play Cafe who is my own personal village and the PERFECT place to take a toddler who needs to burn some energy. 😂
