🍻 Oktoberfest season is almost here, and you don’t have to drive to enjoy it. 🚍
The Link Transit 122 Route runs FREE between Wenatchee and Leavenworth, stopping just a short walk from The Springs. From there, hop the 32 Route to get further into town.

📅 Extra service dates: Oct 3, 10, 11, 17 & 18
🕗 Last bus leaves Leavenworth at 8:22 pm

Pro tip: Make a full day of it at The Springs with our Recovery package with , then catch the bus to the beer gardens. Prost! 🍂✨

🍂✨ Larch season is HERE, and with it, some of the busiest days on our trails. As you head out to enjoy the golden glow, a few fun larch facts to drop on your hiking buddies:

🌲 All tamaracks are larches, but not all larches are tamaracks!
🔥 Western larch has thick, fire-resistant bark, often one of the last trees standing after a wildfire.
🦌 Loved by wildlife, moose, snowshoe hares, and birds feed on larch twigs, bark, and seeds.
🌹 The young female cones are nicknamed “larch roses” because of their striking rose-like shape when pink or red.

And a reminder for all of us:
🚫 Pack EVERYTHING out (yep, even apple cores & TP)
🚫 Don’t feed wildlife
✅ Be the one who picks up that extra wrapper on the trail

Protect these places so we can keep coming back, year after year. Then come restore at The Springs—we’ll keep the pools hot for you.

☕ Coffee & Cold Plunge – Sept 9th. Warm up (before you chill down) with coffee from our friends at Gaucho Coffee. Owner Liz will be here serving up a specialty drink just for the occasion!
🏃 Run Club – Sept 18th. Join us for our monthly miles, then reset with sauna + soak.

🍂✨ Larch March is almost here! October & November are prime time to soak up the gold.

Before you go, a reminder:
This is one of the busiest times of year for our trails, and with limited staffing, it’s up to all of us to protect these spaces. Popular spots are seeing litter, leftover food, human waste, and unprepared hikers. That means…
🚫 Pack it ALL out: apple cores, orange peels, toilet paper, crumbs… everything.
🚫 Do not feed wildlife, it changes their behavior and harms them.

Looking for a less crowded larch hike?
🌲 Eightmile Lake Trail | Trailhead is just before Colchuck’s. You’ll still get stunning views of Dragontail Peak, plus golden larches reflecting off the lake.
🌲 Stuart Lake Trail | Begins at the same trailhead as Colchuck, but splits off a few miles in. Watch for the fork (it’s signed), and be prepared with a map or an app like Gaia.

Both trails lead into the Enchantments and deliver spectacular larch viewing without quite as much congestion. Wherever you go, come prepared and advocate for these spaces by picking up trash you find & educate those around you on the Leave No Trace Principles.

Nature is for everyone, and it takes all of us to keep it wild.
