🔹 An Impactful Milestone in My Practice 🔹

I’m honored to share that I have recently begun and have been given the opportunity to provide medical massage to in-hospital patients

It’s a profound responsibility to be in such a setting helping with such serious conditions. Largely, my practice has always specialized in chronic MSK problems as many manual therapists do. However, coming to a setting like this requires a much different mindset involving empathy and respect for both their physical and mental condition.

I am very grateful for the trust and access to have this opportunity and what other doors it may open for me.

Excited to announce my new certificate in Clinical flossing/Voodoo Flossing from OMT training!
This modality is very unique in the it involves wrapping an area of an extremity tightly with floss tape and performing a series of range of motion or exercises with the compression applied. A unique subset of neuromuscular mechanisms are at play similar to those of regular manual therapy that is sensory and mechanoreceptor modulation.
The available research on clinical flossing is strong however the research has only small and moderate effect sizes.
Soon I’ll post some video of voodoo flossing in comical application for those interested!

I have had the absolute pleasure this spring to do treatments for Jadon who is all state runner for Lee Summit High School in both the 4x400 and 4X800!

Seeing him progress through the season taking home medals and setting school records has been monumental and keeping him running smooth and free of muscle soreness over the season!

Always pleasure to do treatment for such high level athletes 💪🏽
