✨I’ve had an influx of consultations recently for patients looking for solutions to get rid of their double chins and looking for a more snatched jawline. We’ve got quite a few options that will vary based on your anatomy and what’s causing your heaviness in your neck. Some options include:

✨liposuction
✨neck lift
✨filler in the chin or jawline
✨chin implant

I know a neck lift sounds drastic and extreme, especially for a younger patient. However the recovery and downtime for a neck lift is not much more than recovery for neck lipo. Often a neck lift is recommended because there are other layers and structures deeper in the neck that may need to be lifted and tightened rather than just removing fat.

🦄 If it’s too good to be true, it probably is.

There is no lotion, potion or balm that will yield surgical results. This before and after is laughable for a balm, and even laughable for surgery. There results could only be achieved in Photoshop, a facelift, upper and lower bleph, laser resurfacing, etc etc would be hard to achieve these results shown.

The main takeaway here is, whether it’s a procedure, device, skincare or surgery, it’s important to have realistic expectations.

🙌🏻 We’ve just added chemical peels to our service offerings! Molly and Rachel generously agreed to be our test patients #1 and #2 😂

Chemical peels are great for skin resurfacing! At our office we use a line called VI Peel , which are medium depth peels that lift and exfoliate skin cells revealing new healthier, smoother less pigmented skin below.

Chemical peels are great at addressing:
☀️ fine lines
☀️ hyperpigmentation
☀️ melasma
☀️ acne scars
☀️ skin texture

❔Is it painful? No, I would describe it as more of an irritating feel while the peel is being applied. You may be itchy and have a little discomfort overnight on the first night.

❔Can I wear makeup? Sure on Day 1 you can but once you start peeling there’s not really any point to makeup, it would all peel off!

❔How long will I peel? Plan to peel for about a week. It’ll start a day or two after your peel is applied.

🍂🍁 ‘Tis the season for facial skin resurfacing. But unsure if you need a CO2 laser or chemical peel?

Really it depends on your goals, your skin type, amount of downtime, and a number of factors that we discuss in a consultation.

Two main things we discuss in your consultation are:

✨Downtime- CO2 laser has a significantly longer downtime than a chemical peel

✨ Melasma - if you have melasma you’re typically not a laser candidate but chemical peels can be awesome in minimizing melasma

Unlike laser, chemical peels are great for every skin tone and texture.
