I don’t commonly place much stock in satisfaction surveys. I view them mostly as a tool to help us continually improve and identify any potential weaknesses. However I saw our Medicare report card today and thought of the “net promoter” scores that are now being purveyed by one consultant after another.

Here is the raw Medicare data about KCOI.

And i thought…why would anyone go anywhere else for Orthopedic care in the metro.

Stick with the Orthopedic Hospital that continually and consistently outperforms *every* other hospital in the Kansas City area.

Giving thanks….

to my amazing staff. i’m working late on thanksgiving eve. too many piles to walk away from. my inpatient nurses brought me a thanksgiving meal at my desk. honestly, an amazing crew.

Thanks to Kansas City’s most amazing nursing unit. I tell our clinical managers that I expect them to be the best OR, PACU, Radiology Department, Inpatient Unit, etc. in the City. And I mean it. And I believe that they really are.

Thank you to all our KCOI departments for making us Number One in Kansas!

…and for a turkey dinner when the evening wears on!
