Don't let the internet fool you - Nervous system regulation really comes down to these 6 keys. This is the kind of un-sexy stuff that really makes a difference in how your mind and body function. Sunlight, Sleep, Nutrition, Hydration, Movement, and Connection create the foundation upon which we can build other healthy habits and practices - this is what supports all the other skills you can develop in therapy.

The Brookwood Parent Support group is organized around the philosophy that it takes a village to raise a child, and the Brookwood community is our village. The 2025-26 school year has been a challenging one for many Brookwood families with unforeseen staffing changes, student injuries and staff ailments, and what seems to be near-constant threats to public school funding. It's a hard time to be a parent! This group is here to offer a safe space to give and receive support in navigating these - and many other - challenges.

Before the healing -
Comes the feeling.

This is the painful, confusing, hard, and messy business of being human.

We must feel it before we can do anything with it.

Allowing yourself to unthaw and feel what you've been avoiding is the first step.
Get into your body and let it guide you into healing.
