Tuberculosis cases have been reported in Kansas, but what does this mean for you? 🦠💨 While the risk to the general public is currently low, it’s important to stay informed! TB spreads through the air when an infected person coughs, speaks, or sings. It is NOT spread by touch.
If you’ve been exposed or have symptoms like a persistent cough, fever, night sweats, or weight loss, get tested! Contact your healthcare provider or local health department for guidance.
More info is available from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE): [https://www.kdhe.ks.gov]
